Geet Barua is a teaching artist and producer with an inspiring spark who brings his heart and impressive skill set effortlessly to everyone with whom he works. He worked with us as the music head specialist for Music Ascension and mentored students to make electronic music.

Geet joined us as our Recording Studio Manager. His responsibilities included the day-to-day operation and management of the recording studio as a state of the art music teaching facility. Geet managed a team of 7 music instructors, ensuring that an effective teaching curriculum was delivered.

​Geet showed the ability, skill and emotional intelligence to work one on one with some of our more demanding campers. Geet always performed at a very high level in all elements of his work with us. Geet lead by example and was instrumental in building positive momentum within our Recording Studio offerings. He constantly showed good situational awareness and naturally identified situations that needed to be managed. His ability to connect and guide campers of all ages within the field of music is impressive.

Its incredible how his online program feels like being enrolled in a full-time music school with weekly video instruction and deadlines to complete assigned tasks. I became more disciplined and since I was not spending hours getting stuck thanks to his daily doubt clearance, my efficiency increased. Producing music is so easy now thanks to the way Geet delivers the information in a systematic and fun way .

In the past I have done a few pre recorded paid courses but never got results. Thus, I was skeptical to join Geets program at first. But I was convinced to join after the consultation call as I genuinely appreciated Geets passion to teach. And the program was more than I expected. His mentoring and the flexibility to WhatsApp him everyday whenever I got stuck was the best part of the course.

I thought I had problems with the mix down but Geet showed me how I was using the wrong samples/synths. I learnt how to use the minimal number of tracks to make a fully produced song. I also use hardware synth which when recorded had some strange noise. Geet taught me how to dampen frequencies by substrative EQ techniques. Now I just need to put one EQ for each track as I choose my sounds correctly.

I was tired of watching YouTube videos and really needed someone to teach me. The one-on-one mentorship and daily doubt clearance with Geet helped me learn from my mistakes every day of the 8 weeks.
