FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

My typical process is to see if we are a good fit to work with one another. I have the student fill out a questionnire to see where they stand and to get to know them better.

Next we book a call and go over there goals in detail to ensure the program is right for them.

Then, once they sign on I go over an assessment to discover what the exact issue is in order to customize a program specifically tailored to them.

Finally, we start and ensure they understand what is expected of them as a client and myself as the coach to reach the beat results possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been an atglete my entire life. I have 20 plus years of knowledge in a wide array of health and fitness skills. Growing up I played every sport you could think of from basketball, football, baseball, track and field, cross country, softball, etc

Also, with all of those sports came a love for weight and resistance training. Over the last 15 years I have been implementing different methods to apply to the body physically through weight training, calisthenics, high intensity interval training, heart rate cardio, boxing, and martial arts.

I served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years and specialized in combat conditioning and Marine Corps Martial Arts helping hundreds of Marines stay prepared for any challenge faced in combat.

I served as a Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor for over 3 years.

Currently a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I specialize in Foundational Functional Fitness. My background personally is powerlifting, bodybuilding, H.I.I.T, Calisthenics, Basketball, Martial Arts to stay in too shape.

I also have a strong background in mentoring and coaching people as this was apart of my career for over 10 years in the Marines coaching and helping hundreds of Marines make better life choices and getting maximum results overall.

How did you get started teaching?

My whole I have been in a leadership role where I had to teach others. It started when I was in high school I taught younger kids how to play baseball, football, and basketball as a mentor/coach.

That carried over into my Marine Corps career as Fitness/Martial Arts Instructor I taught Marines how to properly eat right, workout, and maintain a positive sharp mindset to obtain goals.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with people of all ages sizes ranging from 5 to 70 men women and children.

I ran a fitness group camp where anyone who wanted to workout was invite and the fitness level and ages varied.

I worked with athletes, powerlifters, bodybuilders, etc.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I am fund of the the walk for cancer as it is near and dear to my heart. As my mother and God mother both defeated cancer. To bring awareness to people and to promote a healthier lifestyle is something I loved to apart of.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

To make sure you are a right fit to work with whom ever you hire. Ask questions and be completely honest about your goals and your commitment to get results. The more the coach knows about you the better we can customize your program to get the best result possible.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What is my why for wanting this result?

What do I actually want?

Am I willing to commit to the training to reach this result?

What do I expect from the trainer?

What is my budget for personal training?

Am I willing to put my self first and invest in my health and fitness?

If I see value, is ongoing personal training something that I want to do?
