I teach classical and popular piano to students of all ages. I have 45 years of teaching experience at the private and college level and have worked with students from beginning through advanced levels.
I love a variety of students in my studio and appreciate the challenge that each student brings.
I enjoy the “pedagogy” or art of teaching and have studied this in my masters and doctoral work.
I also bring music theory and technique into each lesson as students learn more than just how to play the piano.

Deborah displays an excellent balance of appreciation/commendation and commitment to piano fundamentals. Her patience, as I struggle, is so appreciated. She is a most qualified teacher, and is extremely kind as she does this.

Deborah Brener is an excellent teacher. She is patient and kind and always checks in to make sure the way she is teaching is working for you. Her Piano studio is great as well with 2 side by side grand pianos. I would definitely recommend Deborah Brener to anyone looking to learn piano for the first time or just looking to improve their playing and take it to the next level.
