About

I am a retired school teacher and a watercolor art hobbist! I love to teach people of all ages the love and joy of watercolor painting. My love for nature, animals, children and people shows in my passion for this media. I use my 30 years of teaching experience to organize an in home watercolor painting experience. I provide the paper, brushes, paint and supplies needed to complete a watercolor session. Topics can be tailored to the students interests. Lessons can be 1-2 hours depending on the student's desire. A painting can be done in one session or over several lessons depending on the students needs. No drawing skills are necessary. I show how to start and finish a whole painting. All watercolor skills and techniques can be taught over several lessons.

    I can work one on one or in small groups. I can teach a series of isolated skills separately or during the process of working on a painting project. The lessons can be tailored to the students interests. Topics can be chosen by the student's favorite things.  I supply the materials and reference materials.

    I am a retired classroom teacher. i am also a student myself and have taken many different painting classes. I have been part of art clubs and have competed in art shows and have won several contests. I have a portfolio available to view.

    My lessons are between $25-30 per a lesson. I charge more for doing lessons or events at your own location, depending on miles.
    I was a classroom teacher for 28 years, but have taken many art classes since college. I mainly teach watercolor but have experiences in oil and acrylics as well. I run small classes and workshops. I do craft classes in macrame, wreath making, as well as seasonal crafts.
    I work with all ages starting at about age 5.
