About

My lessons are designed to get results while giving kids a positive experience with the game. I do this by identifying their weaknesses and giving them drills / routines to fix their flaws while improving on what they already do well.

There’s certain things that need to happen fundamentally in hitting & fielding but I use each player’s skill set to find what works best for them. There’s no “cookie cutter” approach.

*Video analysis after the first lesson breaking down a players swing to player and parents.

You aren’t going to find a more passionate and knowledgeable coach that loves developing his players, helping them achieve their goals. I’ve coached 8u travel teams all the way up to the college level. Working with kids one on one is what I enjoy the most.

Coach McDonald is very knowledgeable in correcting my son’s swing. He also had great drills to help quicken his feet and help him improve his fielding. I would highly recommend.

    Frequently asked questions

To start, I like talking to each athlete to get to know them, see what their goals are, and what they want to achieve I will then evaluate each athlete by having them perform various drills. Each drill will show me their strengths and weaknesses and help me develop a plan for them. I also do a video evaluation.

I got started teaching right after I was done playing at University of La Verne. I missed the game and felt like I had a lot to give young athletes so I started coaching for a club team. Numerous players started contacting me for private instruction immediately so I started doing private lessons.
