About
From player to coach I know what it takes to get to the next level & will push you to limits you never thought you had, leaving you not only feeling but knowing you got better each and every session!
Since I could remember all I could ever think about was basketball, and when I was no longer able to showcase my talent there was no doubt in my mind that I would continue to pass down the basketball torch to as many people that I could. Each player that comes to me excited about their accomplishments brings me joy in knowing that all the hard work is paying off. I continue to be a student of the game everyday so that I can continue to elevate players game as the story continues to evolve.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I tailor my sessions to improve on whatever skill the client want to improve. My sessions definitely includes conditioning and running. I believe that the better shape the prospect is in, the better performance he/she will have. Another skill that I incorporate that translates to all positions is footwork. I also try to include drills where the prospect is playing through some contact to simulate gametime play.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been caoching competitive basketball for 8 years, for multiple AAU teams 11U-17U as well as high school basketball for multiple schools.
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up with a basketball in my hand since the age of 5. I followed and imitated everyone I watched on TV and wanted to become the best player I could be. I played year round on my AAU travel team, flew all over the states playing in countless amount of tournaments, winning some and losing some. I played on my high school Varsity team starting as a freshman, and helped take my team to the playoffs and semi-finals and finals all four years. I was grateful to win All Second team and All First team during my junior and senior year of high school. There after I played at a small junior college in Oregon, Umpqua Community College, where I had the pleasure of playing under one of the best and one of the most winningest coaches in College basketball. Both years I attended we took first place in our league and went to playoffs in our division. Unfortunately due to severe injury to my ankle, during my third year I was unable to continue to play basketball at the high intensity level and sadly had to give the game of basketball up. Throughout my time at Umpqua I studied and learned from the best what it takes to coach all different kinds of players and how each player is different from another, and what it takes to make players better to exceed at the next level.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with clients starting from age 6 all the way to pro. I have coached both high school and AAU basketball for 8 years with a few different teams (Santa Monica High School, Bayboint Charter School, California Storm, CBA Basketball, Just Play Sports). I have also been a personal trainer for 6 years.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask questions. It's best to ask as many questions as you can to get a feel of what kind of trainer a person is. Be honest about your skill level, we are here to make you better, therefore knowing exactly where you are will help us create the best training program to get you where you want to be.
