Romano’s Innovative Coaching: Why Have A Student Tutor You When You Can Have The Professor?

Welcome to Romano's Innovative Coaching!  I offer coaching and academic services to assist you in meeting your goals!  

Free first meeting online!  

I give a 30 minute free introduction session on Zoom.  I want you to feel comfortable with me, and be able to determine if I am the right match for you.  We may be seeing each other for awhile, so chemistry is important!  After you approve of sessions, I make up an inital plan and let you know anything you may need in order to follow your lessons.  There are some subjects that may require a text, flash cards, or resources.  Any resources i supply to you will normally be complimentary.  

I have  been teaching students from K to 12 since 1996, and added adult higher education in 2006.  I have a doctorate in psychology with a specialty in assessment and treatment of academic and behavioral difficulties.  I have worked in tutoring centers and online with nationwide tutors.  My services are offered to children of all ages, from zero to 99 years old!  

Fee policy:  

My fees are along a continuum, depending on the subject, and your unique needs.  My rates are for 40 to 60 minutes, one time a week.  If you have sessions longer than 60 minutes, or have more than one session a week, I give a 20%discount.  I hope that makes it a bit easier for my clients!  I have offered you a rate that I feel is fair for your sessions,  however if you have special circumstance or challenges,, please talk to me about the rate before moving on.  I do work to assist my clients in achieving your goals.  

When I was an undergraduate I was looking to work while attending college classes.  Because of my education, and history of teaching members of my own family, I started employment with the Public School District in my county.  I also taught for several nationwide tutoring companies, in the centers and online.  In graduate school I started teaching lower division college classes, and after receiving my doctorate, I have been teaching continuously while working in several clinics.  I really enjoy teaching and find that I receive energy from my students!   

All types of students!  I have worked with students with severe learning difficulties, average students like myself, and students who are gifted or excel.  I have worked with students from zero years old (babies under one!) to 99 years old (one of my college students!).  I have had students from all walks of life, with all different circumstantces and lifestyles.  I love people, and am honored to help such a wonderfully diverse population!  

I give the free 30 minute Zoom meeting so that you can determine if I am a good match for you.  It is your opportunity to get to know me, and for me to get to know you.  Please take this time and consider the time you need in your lessons.  If we both feel good about continuing, I would be happy to start a tutoring relationship with you.  During the time we work together, let me know any time you have any concerns, questions or comments.  If you find you don't need tutoring as you thought you would, please don't just dissapear.  Let me know what is going on so I can avoid bugging you to make appointents.  I worry about my students progress when they miss sessons and I can't contact them, so please give me the courtesy of letting me know.  

Be honest as that is the best you can be!  I was in the Average range in high school and had a deficit in an area of learning in which I have now now excelled.  I know how it is to be confused in school, as I sat in the back of the class and needed glasses, but was too shy to go to the front.  I have worked with all kinds of issues and challenges, and there is little you can't tell me in terms of your learning needs.
