I teach step by step painting classes. You will leave with an entire painting complete after each class. I am a Bob Ross Certified Landscape and Floral Instructor as well as a Wilson Bickford Trained Teacher. Each class you will learn something new! You can paint! What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach in a class setting where you will learn to paint step by step, while I come around and help you stay on track to complete the entire painting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Bob Ross Landscape and Floral Instructor as well as a Wilson Bickford Trained Teacher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Classes are $45 for a three hour class and I provide everything you need for the painting.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started into painting because my husband was watching Bob Ross to go to bed at night, and Bob always says paint with me so my husband said let’s paint with Bob. So I bought all the stuff for me and my husband to paint with Bob and it didn’t take long before I was hooked! I can’t drive down the street without noticing the beauty in everything I see.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students range from ones that have painted with me five years all the way to Brand New first time students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love to travel to add to my painting education learning to paint from various instructors. I recently went to Las Vegas to a Painting convention for seven days where I took classes from many different instructors.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who shares a style that you like in their paintings, don’t worry about the painting you’ll be doing in each class as much as the style of that artist. That way you will be learning something new each time you come to class.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What kind of class situation are you looking for? Are you looking for a good time like a fun day with friends? Or are you looking to learn something new about paining that you could take home and even paint on your own? My class is definitely a lesson that you will learn every time and be able to use the information as your painting experience grows.
