About
This is where I belong. I learned in my early 40s, that I belong in an artist setting. I've known since I was a teenager that I wanted to be an artist, but I was always told I could never make a living at it! It took me until my 40s to not listen to that, and I became a ceramic artist forward profession. I started my own business With Ceramics, and asked about teaching at a homeschool group. So many people loved it, students and parents alike, that within one year, I had 120 students every week! Then I began a year and a half ago, at the storefront location that I have now. Now through Covid, I have begun to teach online with other crafts that I love as well. I teach a little bit of Ceramics online, (this can be difficult due to the need of the Clay to be fired at my studio. ) crochet toys, crocheted granny square blankets, felt sewing toys, a little bit of drawing perspectives, & gardening classes (when we were in person).
The vast majority of my teaching has been upper elementary and junior high level. A few highschoolers have come through my classes, but I have also I had the opportunity to work with adults at my studio. I love every single one of my students! I've had students, parents, and customers send me letters, chocolates, gifts, And most importantly, word-of-mouth more customers! No matter what I'm teaching, I have been given excellent reviews and through word-of-mouth by family members and friends, I have grown a very sustainable business!
