Basketball Skills Training
About
Having played, coached, and trained through the collegiate level, I have a perspective of the game from all angles. I also have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a certification in personal training with ample experience in nutrition as well. I utilize this knowledge to assist in the physical and mental aspects of an athlete's development.
My services are a collaborative experience, my student will be able to actively engage in the planning of their training sessions.
Passion is what drives my services, which combined with a strength-based approach makes for an experience that is guaranteed to improve my student's abilities.
Basketball has been the platform on which I've met a large amount of my social and professional network. It connects people and allows for the betterment of the person playing. This sport can also be played and practiced almost anywhere, all you need is a ball. My favorite aspect of coaching and training is seeing the improvement and enjoyment of those i teach, not only in basketball but in life as a whole.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Session one will include an introduction and a quick talk about what the student wants to get out of the training. This can range from skill development, mental preparation for games, and physical strength gains. We will then begin in fundamental drills so that I can assess the player's current skill level. At the end of the session I will give an honest assessment and what I think will be the best course of action for the players following sessions. The player will get a say in their training regimen, and we will plan and coordinate future sessions from then.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been coaching and training basketball for 10 years, ages 4th grade through college.I have a degree in psychology and am a certified personal trainer. I have played basketball my entire life through all four years of college and had the opportunity to play professionally overseas.

What types of students have you worked with?

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they have ample experience and can give specific details about where the experience came from. Ask questions and ensure that your personalities match before making a commitment. If a trainer/coach is expecting long-term commitment off the bat, be cautious.
