About this pro

Good morning everybody first and foremost I would just like to thank you for taking the time out to check out my profile, I'm just an up-and-coming trainer I've been coaching the game of basketball for about 10 plus years through all levels, I played the game all the way up to the Collegiate level and I have a passion for teaching the youth the basic /advanced skills to be a dominant player.

I have a passion for the game in general, I've been playing this game since I was about three years old it was meant for me to develop the Love of the Game, implement the basic skills to become a better player and teammate, and then now prepared me for my ccoaching journey. It gives me joy to teach the game and see fellow students grow, obtaining college scholarships, and succeed for themselves and their families. I tell each parent I will treat your child the same way that I treat everyone with the utmost respect, consistency, and hard work.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

With working with any new student I always try to see what level they are at if they're at the beginning stage the middle stage where they are Advanced but still working through the beginning phase or are they already event and they just want to brush up on their skills, so that's first and foremost I always try to make sure what level they're at, and then go from there. I feel you shouldn't try to implement Advanced drills to somebody that's in the beginning phase because that takes time, therefore you should never rush the process.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My experience comes from playing the game for so many years, learning from past coaches and current, doing my personal research on becoming a better Coach and trainer although I am not certified to be a trainer I feel my experience through playing the game having the utmost passion for the game and understanding the techniques of each position is very essential to teaching it to anybody.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I am just now starting out on my journey so that's why I wanted to make sure to come to a place where I felt comfortable because usually I never had a pricing system I never knew or felt comfortable enough to discuss that with the families that I helped I was just doing it out the love and the kindness of my heart but at the same time when it comes to something like this and trying to build my business and trying to build my brand then I will leave it up to the parents.

How did you get started teaching?

I knew pretty much after high school that I probably wasn't going to go pro, I wasn't going to be the number one draft pick even though that's all of our dreams when we're little, so I made sure to really pay attention my Junior and senior year in high school really pay attention to the way my coach held himself to a higher standard, I paid attention to how my AAU coach presented himself and then of course I researched and I watched the Hall of Fame coaches, the coach K's, the coach calaparis, Dean Smith, Bob Knight etc. And I just made sure to implement each of their Styles into my system.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with a variety of students ranging from kindergarten to high school, I love starting from the bottom and working my way up because it gives me a challenge from each level to brush up my skills of teaching, and make sure that I'm teaching each and every level what they need to be taught oh, how they need to be taught and not waste any time by not teaching them things that's not going to take them to the next level.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Each and every major holiday from the time that I was six years old my grandmother who raised me used to always take me around the city to the homeless shelters to give back to my community we used to provide food we used to provide comfort and we used to help give out food and just interact with the families interact with the people on an everyday basis that had less than us, now mind you we didn't have the best of everything because I didn't have my mother I didn't have my father in my life so trust and believe I didn't have everything but my grandmother made sure I had everything I needed even though I didn't realize it so to this day I always kept that in my heart and I'll make sure to get back when I can.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Basically just make sure you stick to somebody that you can trust, make sure the coach of the trainer that you pick is going to have the best interest in you, I can't speak for everybody else and why they do what they do but I know why I do what I do I know why I have the passion that I have I know why I have to drive to get up at 3 and 4 in the morning researching training videos coming up with new and improved ways to teach, make sure that I always give 110% because that's the reason why you are trusting in us as trainers because we're going to go above and beyond and we really want you to succeed.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Number one I feel like are you secure in yourself enough to talk about your needs, are you confident enough to approach a teacher and be comfortable enough to talk to them about that whether you got your parents permission or not because at the end of the day we're not your parents we can not overstep that boundary because they already have a boundary set as your parents so yes you can talk to us about anything but just make sure that it will never get to the point where we're trying to be your parent because that's where we will fail.
