Hello my name is Andre Waller I’m a full time mobile basketball trainer. I work with many athletes in the Sacramento area including college players and varsity players for there high schools. I am also the lead trainer for Bobby Jackson basketball academy in Citrus Heights. Coaching is my passion and helping athletes is what I love to do. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Some of the things i like to do with new clients is ask them questions on there game things like what they feel they can work on and things there coaches have said they need to work on but also ask them things they enjoy about basketball.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My first session is always free just to make sure the parents and the athletes like it. After that we will see what fits best as far as how many days a week does everyone want to train. I always recommend 2 days a week that way athletes can get the most reps possible. I charge monthly depending how many days you want to train.
How did you get started teaching?
I started doing player development when i was injured playing college ball and fell inlove with it i started working on my own business just trying to master my craft and help others master theres.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with almost all ages from elementary to college players. I currently train players from yuba college, menlo college and cal poly. Varsity players from Bradshaw Christian. Rio americano high-school and also inderkum high school. I Also train as the lead training at the Bobby Jackson basketball academy (BTS basketball academy)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be confident be okay with getting out of your comfort zone and be ready to work
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
i believe students should think of the things they want to work on and what they feel they want to master to take there game to the next level
