Leah Gentry

Hello! I'm Leah! I have been playing the violin for 14 years and currently teach at a youth orchestra in a nearby city. I am also a preschool teacher who also teaches age appropriate music theory and lessons. I am studying to become a music therapist for young children or anyone in need of those services. 😀

What makes me stand out as a violin/viola teacher would be that I adjust my teaching to the individual and what they like to play. My teaching is fairly new school and I don't believe in talking down students to make them perform better because in reality, it discourages people more than it helps. I tend to only make suggestions based off of level and what is similar to their interests because at the end of the day, music should be enjoyable. I am very compassionate, understanding, and fair to all my students as well as flexible. I strongly believe in honest communication so I can shift my lessons to fit their needs.
