What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Silence is sacred to an artist so i want my student to collected and calm. Ideas pour in and the creativity sparks when everything else is silent. Just like a blank canvas, images are formed from a silent ground.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a bachelor of fine arts graduate from the University of the Philippines. i have worked extensively as a magazine illurtrator and creative consulatant.

Art is priceless so everything is negotiable.
How did you get started teaching?
It's an artist's obssesion to create and teaching is our profession.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with kids at a special education shcool and taught adult hobbyists and art enthusiasts.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One most recent event that I consider a major turning point of my life is coming to America where there is artistis freedom and creativity is alive. Seeing the old masters works up close in the Legion of Honor museum is a dream come true having come from a third world country like the Philippines where fine arts is a rarity.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Dont hire an artist but look for a laborer who does art.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There's absolutely nothing to think of because art is all about feelings and if you have a heart that inspires, the hands will deliver.
