Fundamentals & Playing With Confidence - Baseball & Basketball Instructor
About
I’m Adam, a dedicated baseball coach with a lifelong passion for the game. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been deeply involved in baseball here in San Diego, from youth levels all the way through college. I’ve provided private instruction, coached high school athletes, and worked with competitive travel ball clubs. My own playing journey was as a utility player, capable of handling all positions on the field.
One of the biggest influences on my development was receiving hitting lessons from World Series champion Kelly Paris, a former Major League player with the St. Louis Cardinals. That elite-level insight, paired with my background in weightlifting and sport-specific performance training, has equipped me to help athletes refine their mechanics, build strength and speed, and stay healthy with proper mobility and injury prevention techniques.
Growing up, I wasn’t the biggest or strongest, so I had to work harder—relying on fundamentals, baseball IQ, and instincts. That taught me the value of consistency, discipline, and determination—core values I now pass on to every athlete I coach.
As the oldest of five siblings, I’ve always embraced the role of a mentor. My coaching style is rooted in encouragement, personal growth, and having fun. I focus not just on technical skills but also on building the mindset and confidence athletes need to succeed both on and off the field. I believe we don’t fail—we either win or we learn.
I emphasize the importance of attention to detail, effective communication, and being a great teammate—alongside life skills like time management, building winning habits, and living a healthy lifestyle.
