    When I started training with Jimmy in May 2021, I was a 70% free throw shooter and only a 20% shooter on 3 pointers. After 12 weeks of training, I entered the California Senior Olympic Games (Sept. 18, 2021) in the Free Throw, 3 point, Hot Shot, and 3 on 3 Tournament. I won gold medals in the Free Throw (22-25) and Hot Shot event. I also won silver medals in the three point shooting event(60%) and 3 on 3 Tournament for men 70-74 years old bracket.

    Coach Jimmy is coaching my son for almost two months now, and he is doing a great job helping my son improve his basketball skills.
    When I started looking for a basketball coach for my son and interviewed Jimmy by phone, he caught my attention because he showed honesty and love for Basketball, so I decided to try an initial session and I was not disappointed.
    Jimmy coaches my son twice a week, one day with group of kids and the second day for one-on-one session focusing more on specific skills like shooting, ball handling etc.
    Coach Jimmy praises and motivates my son when he does well and gives positive criticism when he is not following instructions. Also, his fees are really affordable. Definitely I will recommend coach Jimmy to other parents interested in getting an affordable and first-class training for their kids.

    My typical process is to find out what the player is trying to accomplish.  I will then design lessons that I feel will maximize the players goals.  

    I have earned a degree in Human Behavior and Social Sciences. I am currently pursuing another degree in Child Development.  I feel my education will help me set a great foundation for interacting with youth or high school players.

    I started teaching and coaching basketball in high school.  I use to work at a recreation center.  I coached youth basketball and I love it.  I was also fortunate to have coached a few freshman high school basketball teams.

    I have worked with youth, middle school, and high school students.

    This past summer I was asked to work out with a friend's son.  He is now a senior in high school.  I was invited by his father to come out to one of his games.  He was really proud of the skills I had instilled in his son and it showed on the court during his game.  During the game his father showed me a picture of the scholarship letter that his son had received.  I felt like a proud father myself when I saw the letter. 

    Choose a teacher that is going to give you the best experience.  Even if you make it to the NBA, one day, it will end.  Choose a teacher that, in the end,  will ultimately make you a better person.  Not just with basketball. 

    I feel that players should ask themselves what are their realistic goals and what are they striving to accomplish.   I believe that a player has to ask themselves if they truely even want to put the time and energy into this training.  Always be true to yourself.
