Ranging typically from $65.00-$85.00 per lesson, depending. Group lessons are adjusted accordingly and typically include discounted pricing. Pricing varies overall. Lessons/sessions run on average for 1 hour-1.5 hours depending on preference, skill level, stamina/endurance, etc. Cancellations not within 24 hours will still be charged a fee. I am flexible and work with all my athletes to meet their needs.
How did you get started teaching?
Love and passion for the game. Started my business towards the end of college. Being an athlete most of my life at high levels and connecting with individuals and clients continually. Basketball has provided avenues and opportunities for me that I am blessed to enjoy while at the same time, giving back to others through teaching, coaching, training, and mentoring. I love what I do related to the game and I am always striving for growth and improvement for my athletes, focusing on the most effective ways I can train them to reach their goals.
What types of students have you worked with?
Youth athletes through high school, college, and adult/professional athletes. Varies. All are welcome to join Crossover Athletics!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Youth summer basketball camp that I participated in/helped run. Loved the environment and enthusiasm by all the kids I worked with and trained. I take pleasure in seeing the youth improve and excel.
To be honest, each of my training sessions are events that I continue to be fond of on a regular basis, as I enjoy basketball training and mentoring passionately whenever possible.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for background experience and resume. Experience and knowledge is very key. Connections can be too for those who have goals to pursue the next level.
Personality and relationship is important as well. There should be a connection between the student and the instructor with common goals shared. I do my part to insure that I am a reliable, outgoing, and personable trainer that cares about each of my clients.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Their specific needs, how hard they are willing to work, the goals they want to accomplish, and how the teacher/trainer can aid them in every way possible to help improvement and obtain success on the court, in the weight room, classroom, and in life in general.
