I have been a head coach and have coached all aspects of basketball for the past 25+ years working with players of all ages. For the past seven years, I have focused solely on shooting providing 1-on-1 private training, small groups, camps, and providing shooting clinics for high school and college teams.
I'm a Master Shooter. Won the "Coaches Challenge" at the 2013 Final Four by making 112 straight FTs and 54 3-pointers in a row. Set the World Hot Shot record in 2014, and at the 2015 World Championships in Las Vegas, won both the 3 point and Hot Shot competition as well as the Senior World Championship in free throws. Won the World Free Throw Championship in 2016. Won the Adult & Masters championships in both free throw & 3 point shooting at the 2017 International Shooters Federation tournament in Saratoga Springs, NY. Have made 100+ free throws in a row more than 350 times in the past three years with a personal best 847! My best consecutive three point streak is 91. I'm Executive Director of the National Basketball Shooters Association and director of "Twine Time Basketball" and the "San Diego Basketball Shooting Academy".
The first thing I do with a new client is have them shoot a 25 free throw "no feedback" session on the Noah Basketball system. This analyzes the arc, distance, and velocity of their shot and gives me a baseline from which to start. While they are shooting, I video them from the back, front, and sides and use that as I begin breaking down and improving their shooting form. Next, I have them stand directly in front of the basket, just a few feet away from it, and begin practicing with the correct stance, hand position, and other mechanics. Soon after, we begin working on shooting off the pass, the dribble, spot up, free throws, and 3 pointers.
