Alec Hamilton

Hi there! I’ve been playing piano for 23 years, and have studied classical, jazz, pop, rock, musical theater, and more, some of which I studied to receive my Bachelor’s in music from UCSD. I also am a music director, directing the band for shows like The Simon and Garfunkel Story, and I music direct locally at La Jolla Lutheran Church. I’ve taught hundreds of students over the last 3 years, and can teach any level, from absolute beginner to professional pianist. I put a lot of emphasis on learning to read music (including learning to sightread), learning music theory and reading pop charts/lead sheets, and proper, healthy, injury-preventing physical technique.
