Shannon Camp, better known by her artist alias Casmalia, is a classically trained musician with a degree in audio engineering from San Diego State University. A gifted musician from a young age, Shannon began learning to play the piano and sing at the age of 6. By age 8, she was composing her own music and won the National PTA's Reflections Arts Program competition with an original song. After being identified as having perfect pitch by her childhood music teacher, she was placed in a classical training regimen and went on to compete in several statewide competitions for voice, including GMEA All-State Chorus. After discovering electronic music shortly after graduating high school, Shannon moved from Georgia to California to attend San Diego State University's budding music recording technology program. After graduating and interning at the acclaimed Studio West in Rancho Santa Fe, she started teaching lessons professionally in Ableton production, voice, piano, and music theory.

After her breakthrough release "Four Letter Word" on Insomniac Records and mau5trap in 2021, Shannon began touring the country as Casmalia. She has performed live at some of the biggest festivals in the US, including EDC Las Vegas, Coachella, Splash House, Groove Cruise, and Dirtybird CampINN. Named one of 2022's breakout artists of the year by both EDM Identity and Nightenjin, she has released over 30 records, mostly featuring her own original vocals and lyrics. Casmalia has been supported by some of the biggest names in dance music, including Diplo, David Guetta, SIDEPIECE, Kyle Watson, GAWP, Gene Farris, and Noizu. She also was invited to host a seminar for LP Giobbi's Femme House Sessions, free classes aimed at the continuing development of female and LGBT music producers. Based out of the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego, Shannon offers in-person lessons and online lessons over Zoom for out of town students.
