Hi! I’m Maddy Hatch, a 5-year professional basketball player with a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State Bakersfield.

I began my career at St. Ignatius before earning a scholarship to play at Cal Poly Humboldt, where I helped my team win the 2018 CCAA Championship and make two NCAA tournament appearances. I also hold a school record for 3-pointers made in a season.

Since 2021, I’ve played professionally in Spain and Italy, helping two teams earn promotions and winning the 2023 Italian A2 Championship.

My training focuses on strong fundamentals—especially shooting, confidence, and basketball IQ. With my kinesiology and pre-physical therapy background, I also specialize in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance training. All sessions take place at our private basketball facility in the Mission District of San Francisco.

1:1 Training — $175/session : Group Training — $65/session

Maddy is the consummate coach, and the effectiveness of her one on one Basketball sessions has truly been transformative for our son. When he first started, he barely grabs the basics and struggle to make a single basket, but the difference in his ability now is staggering he consistently makes 10 shots in a row from each drop point during skills training. Maddy has Freeman to be the most effective coach, giving him not only a dramatically improved skill set in a far higher understanding of the games, complexities, but understands most importantly, his confidence level has shot up, leaving him feeling genuinely great about his accomplishments and his potential on the court..

We were looking for basketball lessons for our daughters (ages 14 and 11) over the summer and found Maddy Hatch on this website. Maddy is a great instructor - she is fun and easygoing and at the same time, very clear in her instructions on drills, shooting mechanics, etc. Our daughters absolutely love working with her and are excited to see her at every lesson, and we feel she is a great role model for young girls who are interested in sports!
