We offer personalized attention using a private lesson. Many studios or dojos focus on only one area or skip areas all together. USSD San Anselmo works with all aspects of martial arts so that you or your loved ones can get the full experience. Our main focuses are: Practical Self Defense, Forms, De-Escalation, Enviornemental Awareness, Safe Sparring, Focus, Respect, and Discipline. However there are many other important areas that we work on as well. We assess your abilities and work on strenthening the areas that need the most help. Everyone is different and has different strengths so why shouldn't your martial arts training be different as well?
I have been doing Martial Arts for seven years now and every day I learn something new or different. Every day is a learning experience and I always finish the day thinking about how I could have improved the lessons I teach or how to improve the overall experience. Every student has a unique way of approaching the martial arts, they all have areas they enjoy and excel in and areas that they struggle and need help in. Pushing students out of their comfort zones to try and improve their weaker areas always proves a difficult yet rewarding experience. This is the only job I have ever had where I wake up exited to go to work and go to sleep exited to start the next day. The martial arts has honestly changed my life and I hope to share that experience with others.

We usually start off with two one on one private lessons to introduce the student to the martial arts after that we bgin with group lessons. Everyone advaces at a different rate but I can tell you it takes at least four years and you must be twelve to reach black belt
I have attended the United Studios of Self Defense Instructors College and have had seven years experience with the martial arts
The standard price is $195 per month. This price includes one private lesson a week and unlimited group lessons seperated by age
I have worked with all kinds of students including special needs students
I recomend shopping around at multiple locations get a feel for the different studios, see if you like the teacher. Try a lesson here and try a lesson somewhere else. I'm sure you'll make the right choice
What interests you about the martial arts? What are you looking for? Then ask the teacher what is important in their studio and see if that aplies to you
