About
I am a passionate Audio Engineer, Producer and Recording Artist who loves every aspect of the music creation process. From songwriting, to recording, producing, mixing and mastering, I enjoy it all. Being able to help a student learn the craft and apply the lessons to their work is my greatest reward.
I enjoy the creative aspect of my work. You sit down to make a song out of nothing. Piece by piece, you add different sounds, record vocals, mix it. Being able to go from nothing to something is an unbelievable feeling I want to share with my students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to talk with them first and get a better understanding of their skill level and what they are looking to accomplish with the lessons. I also allow the student to ask me any questions they may have with my experience or background as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with honors from the Los Angeles Recording School in 2014 with an Associates of Sciences in Recording Arts. I have been in the music industry for nearly 20 years as a recording artist, producer, audio engineer and photographer. I also own and operate my own business called JÄYWLKR Media which specializes in music production, mixing, mastering and more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I keep my pricing simple. $50 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching music technology based lessons in 2013 as a Pro Audio Specialist at Sam Ash Music store in Hollywood, CA. If I had a client who needed help with a hardware or software install at their home or lessons learning a particular program, I would travel to them and provide the necessary assistance. I have also been a Music Lab Technician at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. In that position, I assisted music students with questions about software, hardware, mixing, recording techniques, etc.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of students of all ages. If I can help you, I will!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Things to think about...
1. I would suggest thinking about your end goal. What are you trying to accomplish by taking these lessons?
2. What is your current experience? This helps me determine where to begin our lessons.
