The Image Flow aims to celebrate photography in all its forms and to provide a platform for photographers of all levels to create work, exchange ideas, and to innovate the medium of photography. Our staff and instructors are deeply engaged with photographic practice in their daily lives and bring that same dedication to our space each day. We remain committed to making photography accessible to the community by providing public exhibitions, free lectures, workshops, rentals, and imaging services.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Having a short discussion to determine their exact needs and goals, followed by instruction to help then exceed those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching photography for ten years. Prior to opening The Image Flow I was an advertising photographer for over 35 years. Our individual staff members have multiple years of teaching experience here and at the university level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We charge $120 per hour for most one on one instruction. For studio lighting instruction we charge $150 per hour.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with students at all levels form the begining photo enthusiast that just bought their first camera to the profssional that needs more training in post processing or needs to learn studio lighting.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they actually know what they are doing and have a track record as an instructor. There are alot of people out there that call themselves photographers.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be very clear and specific about what your goals are. And don't be afraid to ask questions.
