About
In my 8 years as a teacher, I've learned that along with their piano technique, people are eager to develop a deeper relationship with music through ear training, singing, songwriting, and composing. My course will enable you to not just to bring what's written on the page to life, but to learn music of all styles by listening, to engage with in from different angles, and to bring your own musical ideas into the world.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In the first lesson, I want to establish what your musical life has been so far and where you want to take it. By the end of our first meeting, we'll cover the three basic elements of music, the fundamentals of reading notes, introduce ear training, and you'll leave knowing a new song.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my degree in Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where I also studied Piano, Organ, Harpsichord, Conducting, Harmony, Solfege, and Dictation. I've been teaching since high school, and have guided students in a vareity of styles.
