GOZA FC
About
I live in Novato but work in San Rafael. I can meet you anywhere in Marin. I’m passionate about the game as a fan, player, coach and soccer dad. I love all aspects about it the mental, physical, emotional, technical as well as tactical. I like to start small and simple with the fundamentals. Introduce the different surfaces of the foot, get touches with those surfaces, followed by dribbling, passing, trapping/receiving, shooting. I also imply my knowledge of proper warm ups/cool down, injury prevention, speed and agility training. Crawl before you walk approach as we might start doing new things very slow but with correct form then raise the speed, intensity and add restrictions or variations. I work with various ages and experience levels. I love coaching and encourage players be positive minded and optimistic, but to not shy away from hard work and to embrace challenges to make you better. I also encourage them to use their weaker foot and not be afraid to make mistakes. Thank you for your consideration I look forward to working with you.

I enjoy the smiles after hard work. Having players leave better than they came in after a session. Be it shooting, skills, communication, fitness so much information to offer in an environment that wasn't available to me as a kid. Keeping it fresh and fun but not disregarding the intensity and work rate factor that we need to replicate game/competition like speeds when working 1 on 1 or in small groups.

I have had a freshman looking to make her highschool jv team tryouts for spring 2020. With no previous team experience she meets me every Saturday morning at 8 am rain or shine for the past months. Not only to wake up early but to travel from Berkley to San Rafael shows a great determination and interest in the sport. I am grateful to coach this this type of player and for the belief her father he has had in me in this journey.
