I did not actually have a session with Marina but she was gracious enough to talk to me on the phone about various options I might have for creating the illustrations for a book I am working on. Anyone wanting a very qualified and talented instructor should contact her. I am only now beginning the conceptualization of my book and it will be awhile before I can visualize the kinds of illustrations I need. Thank you to Lessons.com for connecting me to Marina.

I love that Marina can bring out creativity and skills for each individual student. She also encourages us to use alternative art materials that are environmental friendly. I love how Marina inspires us to do great arts.

I started learning to paint and draw from Marina when I was about six years old and since then I have been accepted into the Maryland Institute College for the Arts. Marina has amazing technique and because of this you gain a sturdy foundation in drawing and painting what you see. However, she also understands the value of self-expression and style so she always reminds students to remember that they're not cameras, they're humans, they do not take photographs. But of course never sacrificing technical skill. I highly recommend her as a teacher and if you want hard evidence of her teaching skills, the proof is in the pudding, her student's artwork is always gorgeous and her own artwork as well!

She has excellent knowledge of art history and talent. Marina is charismatic, supportive and a great mentor. She motivates her students to push their artistic boundaries, develop discipline, and encourages us to think outside the box. I would not be the artist I am today without all her guidance!

I’ve taken lessons from Marina several years now. She’s a highly talented artist whose creativity inspires her students of varying ages (youth to adults) in all different media. She guides with constructive criticism, collaborative energy and unveils insights of master artists’ perceptions and techniques. Just an amazing experience under her tutelage!

Marina always works with you where you are in your skill. Every time she comes around she has a new suggestion and she gives it in a manner that still allows you to have your unique art come forward. She does not demand or demean and you will improve so much in no time with her guidance. I often think back on my lessons here and miss them greatly.

I would give Ms. Marina 100 stars if I could. My daughter has been taking her class since she was 6. Now, she is a teenager and still looking forward to Ms. Marina's class every week. That already says a lot about Ms. Marino's teaching. Ms. Marina lets the students choose their own art projects. She provides guidance and teaches techniques through these projects. Art is about expending human creativity. No one is forced into doing the same thing and compares against each other. She provides the students room to create, experience and express. Ms. Marina is the most talented and compassionate person I know. She is more than an established fine artist with discipline in many areas such as paintings, sculptures, fashion design and computer illustrations. She is also a loving mom, an award winning maintain cyclist, an animal lover and a competitive Kung Fu master. Yes, you read it right! She is a Hispanic American Kung Fu master. She takes life to another level that most of us don’t even know it exists. Best of all, she is a fantastic teacher. We are so privileged and lucky to have her in our daughter's life. It truly takes a village to raise a child. Ms. Marino has taught our daughter beyond art throughout these years.

Ms. Marina is very dedicated and patient teacher. She makes the children feel very welcome and comfortable. She explains how to things and walks children through the process of creating their individualized pieces of art. My two older children began taking classes with her when they were only five years old. I was able to see how each one of them progressively grow as artist in their individual creativity and technic. My daughter, is now in college as an art major. Thanks to the great experience she had with Ms. Marina. For ever thankful...

Marina is an extremely gifted artist and educator. She worked wonders with my son and made him the artist that he is today. In large part because of Marina’s instruction and inspiration, my son was admitted to one of the most prestigious private art colleges in the United States. Start your child early with Marina, as I did!

She was teacher for my 2 daughters, my mom and myself. One of my daughters had been taking classes since age 6 and now she is in her second year at Art Center College of Design. I am now currently taking lessons to help de-stress after a tough work week. She has taught Art and Appetizers classes at my place of employment. Everyone loves her style of teaching from children to older adults. She is warm and nurturing as well and encourages the creative side of all to develop and express. I highly recommend her for any person of any age.
