What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start with the basics to understand what skills the student has, then determine best approach to start the instruction. Every person is different and will have some areas they need to work on.

BA in visual arts

25 dollars per hour at my studio. 30 dollars per hour if I travel to the student.
How did you get started teaching?
Many years ago, I was approach by a friend who ask me for art lessons; from there, it grew so fast that I built an art school where I being teaching since.

I worked with young children, young adults and adults.

One of my students, recently won an art contest in her school district. She was thrilled.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you connect with the teacher. Also, look at the teacher’s artwork to see if it fits your needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are the lessons like. Materials and tools they will need. Is there after hour instruction available in order to clarify the projects.
