About
Sport Specific Training: Baseball, Football and SAQ
A Clutch performance in sports is the phenomenon of athletes under pressure, usually in the last minutes of a game, to summon strength, concentration and whatever else necessary to succeed, to perform well, and perhaps change the outcome of the game. The purpose of Clutch Athletics is to prepare aspiring athletes for those moments. To train their minds for situational awareness and their bodies for performance. To condition them for high stress and quick response. To provide them the opportunity to experience challenging scenarios, understand and weigh their options, and choose to execute based on their understanding of visual cues. The Clutch method of training is more than just physical and fundamental, we train the whole athlete... including the athlete within.
At its core, Clutch Athletics was founded on the value of personal development and strategic decision making. Our athletes are introduced to the concept of the "clutch mindset" and learn to analyze situations around them. When athletes are able to activate the "clutch mindset" they are empowered to make confident decisions in high pressure situations. Sports provide high pressure situations and allow young athletes the opportunity to navigate success and failure without permanence. Every sport specific athletic training session is coupled with mindset and readiness training to prepare them for growth, competition, and success.
Clutch Athletics inspires athletes through specialized training sessions in their chosen sport. In addition to athletic and sport specific training our sessions emphasize the importance of:
- The Clutch Mindset
- Situational awareness
- Self discipline
- Goal setting
- Work ethics
- Decision making
- Team work
- Physical activity
- Nutrition
- Education

I love making a positive impact in people's lives. There are so many life lessons that can be learned by playing sports and showing young athletes the parallels of life and sport is rewarding for both the coach and the athlete.
