About

I'm not the type of coach that just says fix it!

I'll find a way to explain from a player's

perspective that works best for them. I create a personal regimen, according to each athlete. I love teaching proper technique as well as knowledge of the game. I'm a player's coach that will show them how it's done.

Coach Rich is a great baseball coach and very knowledgeable of the game. My son likes him a lot and always looking forward for his baseball lessons with Coach Rich. If you’re looking for a baseball coach, you may want to give him a try.

I like that during a hitting session he is encouraging and is providing constant real-time feedback. This helps my daughter work through some of the fundamentals that she needs

Rich gives great 1 on 1 feedback while working with my daughter. He helped to correct bad habits and he explained things in a way that seem to click with her. Highly recommend!

Coach Rich is an awesome hitting coach. He works on all aspects of the game: hitting fundamentals, hitting techniques, hitting psychology. My girls are always complimented on their hitting thanks to coach Rich!

    Frequently asked questions

I like to get them on video and do a hitting analysis,  as the video catches some things the naked eye can't. We go over the swing there as the visual learners pick up the coaching much faster. Force feeding confidence is the best recipe for a good coach/player relationship.

Played Football & Baseball at Laney JR college where i was a pre season All American in football and was an intrigual part the conference championship my freshman year.

Transferred to SJSU to play football 98'-99'.

I generally charge $60/ hour. I also do a teammate combo for $40/ each for an hour and a half. Pitching lessons I charge $80 / hour.
I got started with little Giants program, and the feeling I got from teaching the game I love was so fulfilling, I fell in love all over again. That was over 20 years ago, and the rest was they say, was history.
I started with baseball players ages ranging from 9- 18year olds. I started coaching softball when the daughter asked me to coach her, and turn her into a Shortstop. I've been coaching both since. I have had players i coached, go onto high school, college, and even had a few play for their respective countries in the junior Olympics.
I was recently proud to watch a couple sisters ( pitcher and catcher) represent the Great Britain as the starting team battery. Pretty cool watching big Sis pitch to Lil Sis.
I would say watch and listen to how a coach explains the fundamentals. You want to pick a coach who is positive, descriptive, and has knowledge of what they are saying. If you ask them, " what is this drill for"? They should be able to tell you? Or else it's just something they saw on the internet, and may create a bad habit rather than help you?
What do they think needs work? How are other teams trying to get me out?
