About
I enjoy helping athletes on skills training (both mental and physical) and meeting them where they are at with their individual needs. I have over 15 years experience playing basketball and I also have credentials as a Mental Skills Coach (recieved my masters in Sport Psychology). Aside from physical training, I'm also experienced in teaching mental skills such, motivation, communication, team bonding exercises, etc. I am flexible to work both via zoom and in person and I am open to incorporate both physical training and mental skills training methods into my practice. I have over 10 years of coaching/training experience, as well as 3 years experience as a Mental Skills Coach.
Happy to work with all age groups. Excited to work with you! Please reach out for any questions/comments/concerns.

My service is unique in the sense where I incorporate both the physical and mental skills training with the athletes. I enjoy using both methods because it provides the full package that is necessary in order to help athletes reach their highest potential. I start by meeting the athletes at their own individual skill level (both mental and physical) and we work together on how to reach their overall goal.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process starts by communicating with the athletes (sometimes parents and/or coaches as well) and figuring out what needs that need to be met. I try and develop a program that best suits their needs as an individual, which makes every athlete/client unique in their own special way. We plan out short term and long term goals, and we check in regularly to see how we are doing with these goals and if they need adjusting. From there, we work on skills to help reach our overall outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training includes a bachelors in kinesiology at Chico State. I also have a masters in Sport Psychology at JFK University. I'm currently pursuing a Psyd in clinical psychology at Alliant international University. I have also played a variety of sports growing up. Played basketball and volleyball for 10 years. I also ran track growing up and competed at Chico state. I have experience as a personal trainer in both soccer and basketball and power lifting.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on the needs of each client.
Mental skills training - $70 an hour
Phyiscal training - $70 an hour
Combination of both physical and mental skills training - $85 an hour
Group work (2 or more) - $55 per person an hour

How did you get started teaching?
I got started with my training during my time as an undergraduate at Chico. After finishing track, I found a passion working with athletes and non-athletes on helping them reach optimal performance in their skills.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with age groups that range from 7-19, as well working with adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recent events include working with a travel soccer team with teenage boys where we worked on skills training, both physical and mental.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to try anything once and to use your voice to advocate your needs/wants so I best support you to the best of my ability.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should take time to figure out what questions they have but sometimes that could be challenging until the opportunity to ask is presented. I encourage students to take their time to gather their thoughts in order for me to help them come up with the best solutions.
