I am passionate about all things photography & art. I love teaching & helping others nourish their artistic attributes & interests. Super easy and pleasant to work with!
Had a shoot out at Woodside High School, Gabi got fantastic shots of my Varsity Tennis Boys.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we get to know one another, I tell you a bit about myself and my background. Then I’ll ask you about your goals, needs and interests in learning and improving upon your photography.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had a portrait, fine art, and photo journalism business for 25 years. I also have a teaching credential which enables me to educate others easily. I love working with people and sharing my passion about photography and art
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It’s best if we have a brief consultation ahead of time where I learn about what your goals and needs are. Then I can offer you a price from there. Usually, it’s an hourly rate.
How did you get started teaching?
My mom was an art teacher, educator and jeweler which inspired me to get my teaching credential as well as becoming a photographer and artist.
What types of students have you worked with?
Early childhood education, tutoring school age children and I have worked with adults helping them with their photographic needs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently traveled to NYC. I have a passion for street photography so myself and my younger nephew (21) did a great deal of photographing while walking on the wonderful streets of NYC. We captured street scenes, people and everyday life on the subway and beyond in around this wonderfully vibrant city.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is kind, patient, interested in helping you and has a keen knowledgeable grasp about the subject you are looking to explore and learn more about. In my case, photography!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What can I do to improve my photography? What are my goal in taking private lessons from you? How long have you (the teacher) been a photographer?
What is your background in teaching?
What are my other interests in the creative arts? This can only help facilitate your own photographic experiences and techniques.
