About
I am a red headed Venezuelan artist from the Andes mountains, and I love to teach people what I am most passionate about. Art! I am also biligual, so if people want to learn in Spanish or English, I can teach both.
Art and music have been my loves since I was a young tadpole. I love to make all kinds of art. Although, I specialize in drawing, line work, illustration, painting, mixed media, and abstract. My website is leonardoninoart.com for an idea of the work I am doing now.
Looking forward to working with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am just starting to teach, but I will explain the process step by step. I love engaging with others and sharing my education/experience with them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Graphic Design at the Universidad De Los Andes in Venezuela. I have also worked as an illustrator for Procter and Gamble, and studied towards a Masters at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I am an active fine artist and participate in my community's center of the arts.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Ideally, $25 an hour is fair
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching my wife's little brother how to draw. His Mom was so impressed that I spent a lot of time teaching him, that it prompted me to want to teach others.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly elderly, and some young kids. I'm big on community and enjoy teaching in group settings, but one on one is awesome too.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My wife and I just attended our community center of the arts LOVE event where we listened to our older friends sing, and recite poetry.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you find something in my work that sparks curiosity or joy and aligns with your artistic liking, we will be a good match. It's about having fun as well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, you have to know what you would like to achieve with your art. And second, which tools and techniques you would like to work with in order to fulfil that vision.
