Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
BASKETBALL
Basketball is about fundamentals. We will cover defense, dribbling, shooting, passing, and rebounding. All sessions will be progression based. As the athlete shows he is developing technique each drill will get a bit harder.
Most sessions are position specific as basketball client normally have specific skills they would like to develop or be better at. I do offer fundamental workouts, where we touch on all the basic skills needed for any given sport. Then, as the athlete shows improvement we will continue to progress to more position specific, and or technique based drills. For skilled players, a generic work out starts with a light stretch, band drills, plyometrics, circuit training, dribbling, hand eye coordination, shooting drills and strength and conditioning (depending on age and experience).

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be sure whom ever you work with is able to quantify how the drills and stuff they have you do, will relate to your particular sport.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be honest about your skill level. Ask about water breaks, and what equipment is needed, running shoes or cleats, sun screen, will you work indoors or outdoors, etc.
