I liked the dribbling drills which helped improve my skills on my left hand. The drills also provided a positive influence on the the way I think of basketball in more serious terms.

First of all, Coach Jon is a person of good character. Approachable, professional, patient, caring. Secondly, he’s a solid coach. After a few lessons, my daughter’s skill sets have improved. This is directly attributed to Coach Jon’s focused attention to details relative to body mechanics, form and function. I’m very confident Coach Jon will have my daughter performing at the next level.

Coach Jon Ian has the experience, knowledge and personality for coaching. He is friendly, professional and on-task, which allowed for an immediate sense of comfort and trust that the basketball skill enhancement coaching would be beneficial for my grandson. So far, it’s been a successful and positive experience.

Jon is great with kids. He is patient with them. He easily figures out how they learn best and then explain things to them in a way that they can quickly grasp. As a result, my son, who is new to playing basketball, has been able to enhance his game quickly and effortlessly with Jons coaching style and techniques.

I really enjoy working with Jon. He works on the basics in order to improve on your shot, ball handling, etc. He is very kind and he understands what needs to be improved in certain players. He makes life analogies to show the comparison to basketball. For example, he explains how a car must have everything in check for it to function properly. Just like in basketball, your form must have everything in check. For example, your feet must be pointed to the basket. In conclusion, Jon is a great coach who will help you where you need it and is very understanding.

Frequently asked questions

After talking with the parent and player, I would analyze the player to see his/her strengths and weakneses to determine the approach to the workouts.

From there, I would create a lesson plan that would entail drills that highlight the players greatest need(s).

I started when i was in college at Chapman University as the student manager for the Men's Basketball team. My started by doing basic mangerial duties and moved up to game filming and being apart of coach's meetings. After school, I worked for NJB and coached freshman and JV basketball at Rialto High School until I became an assistant coach at Chapman.

Ages 7 and up

Seeing the develpoment of a player I get tremendous joy out of. My most recent client entering his Freshman year in high school has worked so hard and can see a tremendous difference in his game from when we started and he gets better by the week.

Always ask questions about the time you’ll be spending together.

Questions about a coaches experience are the most important questions someone can have. Price is important, but no matter how much you spend, you want to make sure you get what you pay for.
