Creative Workshops and Expressive Art Classes
Let Your Soul UnFold
As a teaching artist for 7 years to children and adults, I am now entering a phase in my teachings with Expression and Intuition.
I want to share with others how to gain confidence in art-making and using your given imagination to create artwork that speaks from the Soul.
Acrylic Painting, Drawing, Watercolor Color Painting Classes or Mixed Media Workshops are available
I do this because it is what I love to do and what I am good at doing. I love teaching and sharing my knowledge learned in the Arts to others. Without it, I would have no purpose.. my purpose on this planet was to come and share with others my own creativity. Helping those who want to learn and express themselves is what makes it all worthwhile.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before starting with any student, I like to sit down and get to know their interests in art and what made them want to explore this subject. I also like to see what level you're comfortable with and with what mediums you are excited to try. I really like finding what YOU want to learn and explore!
I usually come prepared with a project to explore together or learn some basic skills. In preparation for the next or future classes, I tailor the lessons to the student's likes and how they want to learn.
I feel myself to be a teacher when appropriate but also as a Guide when a student is leading the way. I like to be flexible in my teachings as well as setting boundaries and certain creative prompts for the student.
I believe in an organic way of learning and teaching!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from San Diego State in May 2011 with a BA in Arts - Applied Design, which includes a lot of craft mediums such as woods, metals, fibers, and clay. They have an amazing Jewelry & Metals Program which I dived headfirst into, and loved. I volunteered in their lab there for a year even after graduation.
From 2011 - 2015, I then worked when I moved home to Orange County as a teacher's assistant at an after school art program in local elementary schools, from which I became a Lead Art Instructor, which then led to my becoming the Art Studio Manager, as well as an Instructor. I worked with K-12 during this time as a private art instructor going to student homes, 1 on 1 or in groups. I have taught drawing, watercolor painting, painting acrylics, etc.
In 2015, I had 3 full workshops of 3 weeks each as the Visual Arts Teacher for Orange County Educational Arts Academy in Santa Ana working with middle school students.
I have continued teaching after school programs in Cypress, Ca for 3 years while starting my own family, and I have now ventured into the area of adult paint parties for the past 2 years. Those are really fun and relaxing to do!
And inspired me to create my own studio, Numoon Studios, to share my skills in the forms of illustrations and coloring books, and of course, paint events and creative workshops for all ages.
What types of students have you worked with?
I love teaching all ages, my business is not just solely for adult painting classes, but can be for kids too.
I am also available to teach drawing and basic art skill classes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really love hosting events as fundraisers for non-profits I support. We are able to raise money for good causes, have a good time while creating a painting, and meet new people interested in supporting humanity. The friendships are everlasting.
