What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to get to know my student, and their musical taste to assess how to approach our lessons. Then use what I've learned as a professional musician to lead my student to an achievable goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In college, I took music theory I-IV, ear-training and sightsinging I-IV, private voice I-IV, and concert choir. I was the frontman of a very successful corporate events band for over 10 years. I have also written and recorded my own original music, as well as co-writing and recording my student's music who are on Spotify. I've been teaching music since 2006, and know what works when coaching someone.
