About
I have 3 years experience coaching highschool baseball as well as playing college baseball for 3 seasons.
Coaching, I led my team to the state tournament two of the three seasons and specialized in coaching players swings.
Playing, I was awarded MVP of my highschool team twice and once for my college team. I consistently batted above .400 with a focus on driving the ball to the opposite field.
I have a passion for connecting with kids and making the game fun. I've always loved breaking down swings and watching all types of players and how they play.
I love connecting with kids and knowing that they took something away from the teaching I've given. I love the "I get it now" moment for kids who have just picked something up.
Teaching the mental side of baseball and how it relates to life is why I love coaching the game.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would have them hit off of a T. I would evaluate their swing. Soon I would move into soft toss with a focus on letting the ball travel and taking it to the opposite field. I would ask the student about what their approach is and what is going on in their mind to try and connect to see how they think. I would give them tips and things to try that have helped me get back on track when I have struggled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have coached high school baseball for three years. Two years as a head coach and one year as an assistant. I played third base for three years at the college level and know what it takes to play ball at the next level as well as coach younger kids.
I helped my little brothers baseball team and the players on his team become better and taught them how to think baseball.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher is using video analysis to show what proper form looks like and what needs to be changed to get the desired result.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
"Am I seeing and feeling results that are impacted from the coaching?"
"Have I changed the way I think about the game?"
"What can I do to get better in my free time?"
