About

From CAREGIVING to TEACHING

Started as a hobby with my dad. Evolved to be a funky little class were expressing (painting) with freedom is celebrated. And of course, refining technique along the way.

šŸ˜‰

Simple. Relaxed.

Been teaching for 25 years both in creative writing and visual arts. Age ranges go from 3-99 (Believe it or not!)

My way of teaching is to bring out the inner styles of art that lay deep within you. And to usher that expression in a playful, edifying, and visually pleasing way.

Lynn is a great English teacher! Lynn has an amazing way of easy understanding hard subjects, and always keeping them light and fun!
My son has learned so much in his class with Lynn.

Lynn is a really fun and kind person! She is easy to talk to and is able to explain her lessons really clearly depending on her clients. My hour and fifteen minute class felt like it was only half an hour. Highly recommend for anybody who is just starting in art or is interested in learning different styles of art!

Lynn has a wonderful personality and melded quickly with my 9 yr old granddaughter. Lynn was respectful of the social distancing...and arrived fully prepared with supplies. She took great concern to discuss my granddaughter interests before arriving, so the project was aligned with that in mind. Im thrilled with the success of the 1st encounter and look forward to watching my grand daughters growth in art skills.
Additionally, we have added Lynns English teaching skills to make up for lost ground during these months out of the classroom.
We couldnt be more pleased with finding Lynn

    Frequently asked questions

    1 hour/ 15 minutes

I’m curious so multiple things teach by default.

I recall, as a grade school kid, being able to articulate a concept for a friend after a few others tried. I had focused on my friend’s personality and suddenly I knew how (not necessarily what) to articulate it.

    She got it.

    My curiosity helped.

    believe it or not!

    I’m (creatively) patient.

Even though we are in a strange global hibernating time... I can deeply appreciate the nucleus of the home... and the blessing that this space allows.

...for the mind to let go a bit. ā˜ļø

Know the rules before you break them.

    But always follow your gut.

    Be stealthy in mind.

    Aim for the feeling.

The art will come without you knowing.

Translating in metaphor allows for communion with your future (viewer).
