Jerome Pennington Photography
About
I'm an excellent communicator and listener, I've seen many (I'm sure not all!) of the mistakes beginners make, I'll always go the extra mile and give you more time than you've paid for, to make sure your questions are answered and you have a path forward after every time we get together. PROFESSIONAL CRITIQUE: Others talk about your "editing" and call that critique. Or they say, "It would've been better if you did xyz" with no idea whether xyz was even possible. I talk about what you actually DID and how it affected your image. My critiques are exhaustive and constructive, you'll learn a ton. I focus on how and what you saw and the decisions you made, leading to an understanding of why a particular image doesn't work, and steps towards correcting and refine your technique and style. I'm super available, I do this full time so we can meet at your convenience.
Watching beginners go through the same discoveries I did when I was learning how to be the photographer I wanted to be—wait, that's not what happened at all! I tried to be a bunch of different photographers I WASN'T cut out to be and learned valuable lessons in how to develop my own style. I'll help you avoid wasting time by guiding you through the process and discoveries you'll make so you'll get there faster than I did!

Ideally someone who came up with film, good listener and communicator, wants to talk more about your pictures than theirs, varied life experience.
