I began my career as a black and white darkroom technician after completing the photojournalism program at College of The Canyons in Valencia, California. I was hired by the Newhall Signal Newspaper as a staff photographer and worked my up to Photo Editor before leaving to join the Los Angeles Bureau of the Associated Press as a stringer. While working with the Associated Press I was hired as a lineman with Pacific Bell and in 2001 I decided it was too hard to work all day with Pacific Bell and nights with the AP so I left the AP
