Mindful Movement
About
I hold a 500+hour Master certification through Holy Yoga, with 9 years of dance background and experience. The style of yoga I teach incorporates spiritual meditation, breath and mindfulness with movement that can be a challenging exercise, but also relaxing. I adapt my sessions to my students' needs and desires. I love to inspire, encourage and motivate others to be your best YOU! I'm also passionate about incorporating creativity (through my dance background) into a "dance-fusion" style of yoga. Imagine ballet-barre meets yoga! I come to you for your convenience, and am available to teach private or small groups. My training also includes trauma-sensitive knowledge and awareness. It brings me joy to see my students find potential and healing and to encounter the Presence of Peace and Love on their mats.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always want to work with a student based on his/her needs, desires and level of ability. We can do a pre-evaluation prior to our first lesson, as well as an assessment afterwards. I can also assess based on our lesson and am ready to adapt my teaching to individual student needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied dance at a performing arts high school and into college as a dance minor for two semesters prior to going through my first yoga instructor training program. I've worked in both dance and yoga studios. I completed my 500-hour Master HY Instructor certification in 2015. I also received a 25-hour trauma-sensitive training certifcation and a 15-hour touch training, which taught me traditional Thai massage technique to enhance certain yoga postures.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught both dance and yoga for a diverse audience of students, in diverse settings. I've taught both yoga and dance in studios, homes, schools, camps, summer programs, and parks, overseas and domestic. Hosting special events, workshops and retreats are also a part of my teaching experience. I've taught children as young as 4 up to adults in their older years. I adapt my lessons based on students' needs.
