About
My name is Xavier McCall. I've had many years of experience playing basketball at the highest level. My trainings are game speed, competitive and high energy. These are NCAA collegiate style workouts for anybody trying to elevate their game to that next level. But this is no summer camp for $500. For less, we'll get the same amount of work in, while in the intimate setting of a private workout which means more reps and better outcomes. I can't promise a t shirt haha but you'll be an absolutely better player after attending basketball bootcamp sessions.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Gage their skillset level with a moderate workout.Of course get to know each other. Identify strengths and weaknesses. And then fine tune stuff the student loves to do, but then get them to love the things they hate doing as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
10 years + basketball experience. Played collegiate basketball in the NCAA. Coached the girls basketball team at Chapman University (Player assistant).
And also coached camps all ages for 7 + years for multiple collegiate school in season and summer programs, as well as a head coach in the Special Olympics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60/hr. 1 hr minumum
Willing to travel.
How did you get started teaching?
Passion. Pure love for the game and seeing others enjoy it just as much as I do is just the cherry on top. And I want to help them get to that next level they're looking for.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages. All skillsets. I have worked with kids, teens, adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am a musician being out here in LA of course, and I performed at my first show in two years last month so a good milestone and good practice to get back into. It felt great.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Go for who's genuinely going to be there for you. I know I'm willing to be a listener if there's anything you need to release that's causing you a mental block in life cause I been through it. And I know I'm willing to put in the work and not just have you dribble through cones and tell u good job for two hours and you or your parents are paying their hard earned money for progress. Thats what we're there for.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ways that you want to get better.
If you're on a team, what is your role?
What are things that you hate doing to become that great basketball player?
F
or some its simply just putting in the work, feeling some type of pain just to see mentally if you really want to improve. Cause I could tell if you got forced to do these workouts with a teacher by a parent or a higher figure in your life.
Come with an attitude to get better.
