About
I really listen to what the student needs. I want each student to enjoy learning music. Of course they need to learn technical aspects along the way.
I make it a habit of emailing each student a review of each lesson and homework for the next week. This frees the student from having to keep track of these details during the lesson so that they can concentrate on learning the music.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to know what their background is, which includes how long they have been playing piano and what type of music they are interested in. Also, I like to understand their personality so that I can modify the lesson to achieve the best results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BM in Composition from Berkless College of Music and a Masters Degree in Music Theory from the University of Maryland. I have also studied classical music for 10 years with Dusi Mura from Romania.
In addition, I am a professional jazz pianist and I am working a lot.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Normally I charge $65 per hour. The length of the lesson can vary. And the frequency can also vary, depending on the student's needs.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, from beginners to intermediate.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my students made a break through the other day in playing a blues exercise that I gave him.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The lessons should be an enjoyable experience and the teacher should respond to your musical needs by helping with technique and inspiring you to learn music.
