I have deep knowledge of tech, music and piano from beginning to most advanced. Technical secrets and mental secrets essential to great success.
I love seeing students gain in confidence and ability.
I also teach reading music, songwriting, all styles of music (classical, jazz, pop), improvisation, music theory.
On the tech side I teach using or creating with AI, all aspects of using a computer, setting up networks, how to decide what computer to buy, programming in many languages. Please ask if you need anything that isn't mentioned!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It depends on the student's level and the type of music they prefer. For young students who want to participate in the MTAC or MTNA programs, I use those methods. For older students, we work for peak performance, how to get the very best performance you can.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters degree from Eastman School of Music in piano and composition.

I usually charge $90 / hr.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching composition lessons, music software lessons, synthesizer lessons and then developed a system for peak performance that combines cognitive therapy principles, neuroscience principles, deep understanding of anatomy and muscular function.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Decide how much time you want to practice and what outcome / goals you have for learning. Choose a teacher who can work with the level of effort you want to put in and get you to your goals. I think teachers who are active performers (like me :) are better teachers.
