About
Multiple Award winning, produced, and published writer with a passion for any and all groupings of words. Most recently, the film I wrote, "1/2 New Year" won 8 awards, sold to Comedy Dynamics, and is now available all over the world. I adore sharing my passion with others.
I have taught creative and dramatic writing formally at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Lexington Children's Theater, Valley Film Festival, Ojai Word Festival and Start on the Street. I have held one on one tutoring sessions for blooming and experienced writers for the last 15 years.
Athletically, I am a former college track coach (Worcester Polytechnic Institute, New York University) and have conducted one on one training sessions for runners of all ages and abilities.
I have not taught tennis in a formal setting. However, I have been taking tennis lessons since 2nd grade and have coached over 10 friends from beginner to intermediate unofficially ever since moving to Los Angeles. The wider my tennis circle, the more options I have to play myself!
As a nationally touring slam poet, please feel free to come to me for public speaking lessons as well. Never underestimate the power of not just your words, but how you say them. I have coached actors, and friends on public speaking, and know exactly how to pull the message out through speech.
All I've ever wanted to do in life is leave an artistic stamp on the world. One way is through my own art. The other way is through guiding other people's art, which will live on forever.
Helping other people exceed in the arts or althetics makes me truly feel like my unique existence matters and has the ability to change the world.
Writing is our birthright. We only have this one chance to see the world with our own unique perspective. My goal is to help as many people as possible express their voice.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love games. They break the ice and get the seratonin and creativity flowing. But the games are specifically taylored to the writing. Most lessons start with a game that innediately turns into a writing session. I ask a lot of questions that force the students to think deeply about what they are writing. Regardless of the topic, we will find a place for just a glint of humor as it brings the writer and reader together. I will have ideas, notes, and constructive criticism, but will always express them through games, freewriting, or questions that force the students to figure out their own personal answers. If there are appropriate grants or contests I think they may be great for, I encourage them to submit. I will guide my students through the highs and lows of writing, helping them nagivate all the obstacles and come out with an amazing finished polished meaningful project.
