My service helps the artist bring out the things they are trying to accomplish. Listening to the student and go from there. All the way from beginning to going forward.
I have been painting for over 40 years, growing up in Alaska, it was important to me to paint the ambiance of the beauty around me. I now hang my work in Spanish village part of Balboa Park in San Diego in the Gallery 23. I have received many awards for my paintings and have done many consignments. I do oil, pastel, colored pencil, and multi-medium.
I feel I have a lot to offer to the student who needs guidance and the classes last 3 hours. I feel I need to pay it forward so to speak in passing off what I have learned and am still learning myself, as we never stop learning. There are so many different ways to get to the same objective. Some students do things one way and another student will do something else to get the same resolve, which is great!!
Working with people is a joy and doing what I love is that much better.

Interview with the student, talk about supplies they have and will need, where their expectations are for the class. Find out how confident they are and where to start them. They can ask as many questions as they like. I am always accessible to the students by phone, email, and in class. I work very closely with the student during the class to inspire and to listen to their concerns about where to go from one point to the next.
I have taken classes at a college to taking lessons from individuals and groups for over 40 years, I still take lessons to this day just to keep my own juices flowing, I think taking classes is just another way to push my work further all the time. Try different mediums, keep taking in information in a different aspect from different people. I enter many competitions and have a show once a year.
