What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Discussing what level they are currently at. How many years experience etc. Then I create a program that suits their needs and we get to work!


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I danced for 10 years- through high school I took ballet/pointe, modern, jazz, and hip hop. I additionally was a choreographer for a children's musical theatre company. I danced on two dance teams at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I've also taught ballet and hip hop at several studios.

$40/ half hour

$75/ hour


How did you get started teaching?

I took my knowledge and passion I had for performing and decided to take it to the next level and share that with the next generation. 


What types of students have you worked with?

She's 5-15, beginner to intermediate levels. 


Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently watched Hamilton on Disney+ and I felt inspired by the choreography and performers. It's a magical experience to witness such talent! 


What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Be sure to find a teacher who has an emphasis on technique. In ballet, technique is EVERYTHING. If you want to learn the advanced steps you must first understand the very basics. 


What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Students should ask themselves what they want out of the lessons. Are they looking for a fun hobby, or a career in dance.
