We offer comprehensive developmental training for middle school and high school student-athletes. We have an inclusive and empowering philosophy and use basketball to create community.
South Gator Basketball Club is NOT affiliated with AAU. We strive to teach fundamentals to student-athletes of varying skill levels to prepare them for collegiate competition.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We Have each child/parent/adult member complete a player profile. We assess the child’s and adult's abilities and provide the parent/adult feedback. We provide input And encourage our members to practice Modeled basketball skills daily
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed clinical social worker and primarily focused on running our nonprofit youth basketball organization. My job is to interview and hire coaching staff who will train our youth. All of our coaches have played basketball at the collegiate level, played professional basketball at the International level, played professional basketball in the United States, or have coached basketball at the collegiate level.

How did you get started teaching?
Once observing how children and adults yearned for quality training in underserved and underfunded communities.
What types of students have you worked with?
I believe student-athletes are of ALL ages, genders, and abilities. I’ve had the pleasure of working with toddlers, children, youth, adults, and elderly.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We provide training and support to high schools in South and East Los Angeles County.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the trainer knows your name, is aware of your goals, and helps you fully develop as a student-athlete
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You must acknowledge areas you need support in and be open and honest with your teacher and trainer.
