Coach matt Mazarei, born and raised in thousand oaks, was an NCAA STUDENT ATHLETE and basketball player known for his exceptional skills and contributions to the game on and off the court. Mazarei had made a name for himself at local Westlake High School graduating in 2008 with multiple Marmonte and CIF honors. Attending Moorpark Junior College for 2 years to help stay close to hospice care for his extremely ill-ridden father who had battled many complications the past few decades. After establishing himself as a top 100 Junior College player in the country and earning an athletic scholarship to Division II POWERHOUSE Fort Lewis College.

As a versatile player, showcasing his abilities in various positions on the court AND OVERALL IQ WAS ON FULL DISPLAY WHEN HE LED THE ENTIRE NATION IN THE NCAA IN ASSISTS TO TURNOVER RATIO WITH A 4:1 RATIO IN 2013 AND HELPED LEAD HIS ALMA MATER OF FORT LEWIS COLLEGE TO A SECOND ROUND BIRTH OF THE 2013 NCAA TOURNAMENT. TILL THIS DAY, FIBA AGENTS, G-LEAGUE AFFILIATES HAVE ALL CONTACTED COACH mAZAREI WITH OFFERS AS A PLAYER TO STILL EXPERIENCE THE OVERSEAS ROUTE BUT HIS CALLING IS SPREADING HIS ON COURT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, OFF COURT KNOWLEDGE TO OUR NATIONS YOUTH.

mazarei discovered his passion for basketball at a young age DUE TO HIS 3 OLDER BROTHERS LOVE FOR THE GAME. He demonstrated immense talent and dedication, which caught the attention of scouts and coaches in his local community. His exceptional skills soon earned him a scholarship to dIVISION ii POWERHOUSE FORT LEWIS COLLEGE, where he honed his talents under A renowned COLLEGIATE PROGRAM. Throughout his high school career, Mazarei displayed exceptional leadership both on and off the court. He led his team to numerous victories with his scoring prowess, defensive abilities, and court vision. Mazarei's impact extended beyond his performances. As a model student-athlete, he inspired his teammates to work harder and maintain a positive attitude, fostering a winning culture WHEN FACED WITH IMMENSE ADVERSITY AND PRESSURE within aNY TYPE OF ATMOSPHERE.
